COME TASTE WHY.
Best Bakery in Utah.
COME TASTE WHY.
Bonrue is a European-style bakery founded in 2021 by Chris Connors, Li Hsun Sun, and Chris Herrin — three food craft connoisseurs with experience as chefs and restauranteurs in the Las Vegas market. After bonding over the sharing of their favorite recipes and restaurants, the three foodies decided to open a bakery together in St. George, Utah, that would feed their passion for celebrating good company and good food.
Chris Herrin — an experienced chef who worked at Bouchon, French Laundry for Thomas Keller — sadly passed away in the fall of 2021, just months after Bonrue (then Farmstead) opened its doors. As a tip of the chef’s hat to Herrin, Bonrue breaks bread daily in his honor.

We had to change our name (legal stuff!), but don’t worry, nothing else is changing. Farmstead is now Bonrue Bakery.

FARMSTEAD IS BONRUE BAKERY
New Name.
Same Stead.
Bonrue, a name inspired by the French words for good (“bon”) and the streets where we gather (“rue”), aims to carry on Farmstead’s tradition of elite pastries and a welcoming community — all while looking forward to a new chapter of growth and creativity.
The most consumed food in the world is bread, which has existed at every family table for thousands of years. Our dedication to the craft is as important to us as sharing this tradition with our community.
From our stead to yours, welcome to Bonrue Bakery.
